Fosston easily won the meet with a 355, 30 strokes better than runner-up Badger/Greenbush-Middle River. Crookston finished with a 422.

The Pirate girls' golf team finished seventh of seven teams at the Roseau Invitational Friday at Oak Crest Golf Course. The Pirates took a young squad to compete with no golfers older than a freshman.

Fosston easily won the meet with a 355, 30 strokes better than runner-up Badger/Greenbush-Middle River. Crookston finished with a 422.

Eighth grader Ally Tiedemann led Crookston with a 91, while freshman Maddie Nicholls carded a 97. Eighth grader Brelee Jobe shot a 108 and seventh grader Elise Erdmann shot a 126 to round out Crookston's team score.

Crookston competed at Thief River Falls, Minn. Monday at Thief River Golf Club.
