McClure led the team with a 77.2 average on the 2013-14 season.

University of Minnesota Crookston men’s golfers Matt McClure (Jr., Grand Rapids, Minn.) and Jesse Roscoe (Jr., Big Stone City, S.D.) were named to the All-Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference teams after strong seasons for the Golden Eagles. McClure earned All-NSIC First Team honors, marking the first Golden Eagle to earn All-NSIC First Team since Jake Sanders during the 2010-11 season. Roscoe earned All-NSIC Second Team honors for the second-consecutive season. McClure earned All-NSIC Second Team accolades as a freshman.

McClure led the team with a 77.2 average on the 2013-14 season. The junior was named the UMC Athlete of the Year for his performance on the golf course this season. He place in the top 10 in four tournaments including three-consecutive top 10 performances after missing the first tournament of the Spring due to a death in the family. McClure’s season was led by a seventh-place finish at the NSIC Tournament. In addition he earned top 10’s at the Erv Kaiser Invitational, the Quarry Oaks Collegiate and the Upper Iowa Spring Invite.

Roscoe was second on the team with a 78.1 average. He had one top 10 finish on the year with a fifth-place nod at the Bemidji State Spring Invite April 21. In addition, Roscoe had a 13th-place finish at the NSIC Championship, improving his placing by nearly 20 places following shooting a round-low 71 in the third round at Tiburon Golf Course in Omaha, Neb.

Ross Miller of Minnesota State University, Mankato, who placed second at the NSIC Men’s Golf Championship, was voted as the 2013-14 NSIC Men’s Golfer of the Year. St. Cloud State University’s Judi Larkin, who led St. Cloud State University to the NSIC Championship as a team, was named NSIC Men’s Coach of the Year.
