Junior Danelle Trandem pitched all seven innings for Crookston, striking out six.
The Pirate softball team lost 7-3 Thursday to East Grand Forks in Crookston. The teams were tied 3-3 after four innings before the Green Wave shut down the Pirate offense the rest of the way and added four more runs.
Jayden Boushey pitched all seven innings for East Grand Forks, allowing three earned runs on four hits and six walks. She was also 2-of-4 at the plate with a double. Emily Heffernan was also 2-of-4 with a triple and two runs score. Kayla Nelson was 2-of-4 with two RBI.

Seniors Emily Samuelson and Lizzy Awender each had doubles in the game. Awender drove in two runs and Samuelson had one RBI.
Crookston falls to 1-5 on the season and will host Ada-Borup Friday at 4:30 p.m. before traveling to Grand Forks Monday to take on Central.
