Everyone’s invited to May 6 event beginning at 5 p.m.

    The public is invited to join the Crookston InMotion stewardship group on Tuesday, May 6 at 5 p.m. in the UMC Sargeant Student Center Bede Ballroom to recognize success stories from the past two years and to suggest new exciting ideas to pursue in the coming months and years.    

    Leaders from the four Destiny Driver groups will be giving 10 minute "lightning" presentations highlighting accomplishments and also propose future ideas. Destiny Drivers include: Building Houses and Homes, Creating Economic Opportunities, Revitalizing Downtown, and Sustainability as a Guiding Principle in Community Development.   

    These 10-minute lightning talks will be followed by an opportunity for others to share thoughts and ideas with the group.    

    "This will be an exciting time to reinvigorate the Crookston InMotion discussion," City Administrator Shannon Stassen said.   

    UMC's Center for Sustainable Development will be providing a complimentary meal for attendees beginning at 5 p.m.  Discussions will begin at 5:30 p.m.
