  • Una Rae Riebling, 84, of Cape Coral, Florida passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 8, 2014.
Born on May 31, 1929 in Milwaukee, WI; she spent her youth growing up in Crookston, MN having graduated from Crookston High School before marrying Patrick J. Scully, Sr. in 1948 who had just recently enlisted in the Air Force. This led to her becoming a supportive, military wife for 20 years living out assignments in Kansas, Louisiana, France, Panama, Texas and finally Colorado where she spent most of her adult life after the military. Una Rae married Eddie K. Riebling in 1975 and resided in Aurora, CO and then Denver, CO until she moved to Cape Coral, FL in 2010 to be nearer to three of her five children living in Florida.
Una Rae was a loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother and a loyal and supportive friend to the many people she had met during her travels. Her greatest love and what she was most passionate about was her family and she always had and took the time needed for all of them. An avid Denver Broncos fan since the 1970’s, she rarely missed watching a game and always kept up on the team and its’ players.
Survived by four of her five children; daughter, Crystal Gazlay; sons, Patrick Scully, Jr., Timothy Scully, and Daniel Scully; step-daughters, Linda Chen, Sandi Riebling; sister, Janice Maffia; brother Michael Ergeson; fourteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her father, Ernest Ergeson; mother, Avis Ergeson, brother Jerry Ergeson, former husband, Patrick Scully, Sr., husband, Eddie Riebling; and youngest son, Michael Scully.
The family wishes to extend sincere appreciation for the kindness, love, and excellent care given to Una Rae by her caregivers, Denise Dunbar and Maureen Nolan.
