Crookston Central alum Longtin interviews

A committee with varied representation on Monday interviewed three finalists hoping to be Crookston High School's new principal. It was one of the few scheduled events that went on as scheduled despite Monday's blizzard.

Superintendent Chris Bates said a decision on who to offer the job to could come as soon as this Friday, or possibly early next week.

Interviewing for the job were Eric Longtin, a 1987 Crookston Central High School graduate who's now a math teacher and football coach in North St. Paul; Ryan Luft, a principal in Foley, Minn.; and, Mark Nass, a teacher in Windom, Minn.

Six applied for the job, which is being made available by the resignation of current CHS Principal J.J. Vold. His resignation takes effect at the end of the school year.
