  • A judge has changed bond conditions so a former Bismarck teacher accused of having sex with a 15-year-old student can attend her son's high school baseball games.
The bond for 35-year-old Susan Duursma barred her from having contact with minors. Under the change approved by Judge Bruce Romanick (roh-MAWN'-ihk), she's barred from having unsupervised contact with minors other than her own children.
Duursma is accused of a sex act with a teenage boy three times between March and July last year, when she was a physical education teacher at Wachter Middle School. She's since resigned.
Duursma has pleaded not guilty to three counts of corrupting or soliciting a minor and is scheduled for trial in early May. Her attorneys have asked Romanick to move the trial out of Burleigh County.
