  • Team North won the 21st annual Gopher State Festival hockey championship for juniors and seniors in high school this past weekend at the Schwan Super Rink in Blaine, Minn. Crookston goalie Adam Huglen was a member of the team. The Gopher State Festival is for Minnesota high school players. Team North tied West 6-6, defeated East 2-1, defeated South 9-3 and defeated West 6-3 in the championship game.
    Crookston’s Bobby Tiedemann played for the Team North sophomore team.
