  • The Crookston Pirate girls’ hockey team held its season awards banquet Sunday at CHS Commons. Pictured right are the team award winners.
    Senior Amber Trostad was selected as Most Valuable Player and also received an Academic All-State award. Senior Lizzy Awender was named Best Offensive Player and was a Greater Minnesota All-Conference selection. Sophomore Tori Demarais was named Best Defensive Player.
    Sophomore Sabrina Delorme was selected All-Section 8A Third Team and was named Greater Minnesota All-Conference.
    Senior Brooke Schmitz was selected as Most Dedicated and also received the Hobey Baker Award, while freshman Jadine Moran-Mello received the Coaches Award. Senior Rachel Kanten was named Academic All-State.
    Freshman Lexie Cormican, Demarais, Schmitz, Trostad and Awender were all named All-Section 8A honorable mention.
