  • Federal authorities say an eastern North Dakota man accused of robbing a bank has been sentenced to more than eight years in prison.
The U.S. Attorney in Fargo on Thursday announced the sentence of 47-year-old Abraham Clifford Wilson.
Authorities allege Wilson entered a Cornerstone Bank in Fargo in January 2013, brandished a handgun and demanded money from the bank teller. Authorities say Wilson left the bank with $2,500 in cash.
The Fargo man led police, Clay County sheriff's deputies and state troopers on a pursuit and was later arrested at a nearby town in Minnesota.
U.S. District Judge Ralph Erickson on Thursday sentenced the man to eight years and nine months in prison, as well as three years probation. Wilson was also ordered to repay the bank the stolen amount.
