  • The 11th Annual Ice Buster Daze in Crookston on Saturday might have been the best one yet. A snowmobile in the Radar Run on the Red Lake River reached a speed of 111.7 miles per hour on the 600-foot track and, on the river at Central Park, 350 tickets for the ice fishing event were sold, and 68 fish were caught, many of them walleye and sauger. The biggest catch of all was a catfish caught by Rusty Miller, the person credited most with first launching Ice Buster Daze 11 years ago. Dozens and dozens of prizes were awarded to adults and kids during the dinner at the Eagles that wrapped up the event.
