  • The latest data I'm submitting is in response to Mr. Wolpert's latest article that was written on December 7th. (It appeared in the Crookston Daily Times' print and online editions)
In which Mr. Wolpert states that " if we want the best we have to pay the most."
This data is also in response to quite a number of taxpayers and constituents that have asked "are we getting value for what we spend on education?"
That is a question that everyone has to answer for themselves.
Like most of the data that I have presented to this point, I hope it will be of some help to answer questions that people have asked. All the data about compensation is out and hopefully this data will answer questions about value for your children as well as your tax dollars.
The first sets of data today will deal with Math scores, followed by Reading scores on Tuesday and the final sets on Wednesday will deal with Science.
As always if you have any questions don't hesitate to call me or your other board members or the District office.
Note to readers: The documents Brekken refers to in this letter can be found in a photo gallery at crookstontimes.com entitled, "Crookston Test Scores."
