Fourteen area families will find presents under their trees this year thanks to RiverView Health employees from 17 departments. On Monday, vehicles lined up outside RiverView to take gifts to area families in need. Everything from shovels, garbage cans, clothes and toys went into the vehicles. RiverView employees shopped off of request lists the families put together.

While RiverView employees have participated in Polk County Social Service’s Adopt a Family Program in previous years, this year marks the largest participation RiverView has ever had.     The following departments participated this year: RiverView Clinics (East Grand Forks, Fertile, Crookston, Red Lake Falls), Administration, Clinical Effectiveness and Integration, Pharmacy, Diagnostic Imaging, Environmental Services, Purchasing/Maintenance, Health Information Management Marketing/Community Relations, Patient Financial Services and Patient Access, Rehab Services, Care Center/Home Care, RiverView Recovery Center and Inpatient Unit.

Clinic Support Specialist Bobbie Amiot led the effort.
