Event at American Legion will feature "The Power of Movement," presented by Crookston native Julie Anderson Dickhudt.
The West Polk County Extension Home Study Groups will host a luncheon at the American Legion Club in Crookston on Saturday, December 7, 2013, beginning with registration at 11:30 a.m. Julie Anderson Dickhudt will present "The Power of Movement" as the keynote presentation.
Julie was born and raised in Crookston. She is the daughter of Harriet Anderson, a longtime member of the East Fairfax Extension Home Study Group. Julie Dickhudt launched the goal of being a motivational speaker over 30 years ago. After traveling with the international Up With People organization, she fell in love with all aspects of traveling, meeting new people, performing, learning about promotion and marketing, but most importantly the opportunity to have a positive impact in peopleʼs lives. After graduating with a BA in Speech Communications from Minnesota State University - Moorhead she ventured into the workforce. Julie has worked with the Minnesota Timberwolves, Target Center, The Beach waterpark in Ohio and Jostens. She has been an independent massage therapist for 17 years and has a studio in Mankato, MN where she also teaches yoga classes weekly. Participating in high school sports and being a runner for years introduced the importance of exercise and movement. Itʼs a field she is very passionate about and combines that with her commitment to a healthy and nutritional lifestyle. She and her husband Bob will celebrate their 22nd wedding anniversary in November. They have 6 children and are grandparents of 2 year old Parker.
With enthusiasm and energy, Julie will share with us her knowledge and experience of “the Power of Movement” and “ Nutrition - Healthy Choices”.
