Victim suffers throat wound

    A Crookston man was arrested early Saturday morning after a reported knife fight by Crooks Club.    

    A call came in to the Crookston Police Department around 1:06 a.m. that a fight was happening between Crooks Club and M&H. While en route and upon arrival, officers learned a knife had been involved and one person sustained an injury to the throat area. An ambulance was called and the suspect, according to the CPD, fled the scene on foot.    

    At 8:48 a.m. Saturday, officers made contact with Carlos Ismael Garcia, 30, at his home in Crookston. Garcia was subsequently arrested for first degree assault and also an outstanding warrant for failing to appear. The victim was treated and released at RiverView Health.    

    The investigation continues. The Polk County Sheriff's Office assisted.
