The University of Minnesota Crookston softball program announced the signings of a pair of Minnesota preps bringing in Gabriel Antolak (C/3B, Zimmerman, Minn.) and Samantha Kuhlow (1B/OF, Big Lake, Minn.). Both players will begin playing for the Golden Eagles during the fall season in 2014 and in the spring season in 2015. Both preps signed National Letters of Intent.
All signees are contingent upon admission to UMC and compliance with NCAA rules, including certification by the NCAA Eligibility Center. Everyone released has signed their National Letter of Intent prior to the release of information.
“We are really excited to bring these two players in during the Early Signing Period,” said Head Coach Ed Deugan. “We really think Gabby and Sam will help us to move this program forward and are excited to have them join us for the 2014-15 season. We are looking for three more players to join them in the Spring Signing Period.”

She has been varsity captain of her team for the past two seasons. Antolak held a .459 batting average last season. She had a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage.
She is the daughter of Deann and Ron Antolak. She plans to major in equine science. Gabriel was born July 2, 1996.
Kuhlow was a 2012 All-Conference selection. She has earned academic honors in 2012 and 2013. Kuhlow helped lead her Big Lake H.S. squad to the Section 8AAA Championship in 2012.
