  • If you've driven by the Downtown Square Pavilion this week, you've probably noticed the arrival of some fresh, black dirt.
Ward 5 City Council Member Dale Stainbrook is hoping some volunteers join him around mid-morning Saturday, Nov. 2 to help spread the dirt around in preparation for the planting of dormant grass seed.
Meanwhile, work continues on powering the building with electricity. That includes moving the wooden electrical panel that currently sits right next to the structure. Interim City Administrator Pat Kelly said the "eyesore" will be moved to the east so it's mostly hidden behind the old Central High School sign that now reads "Central Square Apartments."
