  • UMC team adds to trophy case

  • The United Way of Crookston teamed up with New Flyer of America to hold a Community Bus Pull at the Crookston High School Wednesday afternoon.

  •     The United Way of Crookston teamed up with New Flyer of America to hold a Community Bus Pull at the Crookston High School Wednesday afternoon. The four teams competing included RiverView Health, Crookston High School Seniors, UMC Athletes and Coaches and Crookston High School Underclassmen.    
        RiverView started off strong with a total of 13 seconds pulling the bus 60 feet. CHS Seniors were next with 21 seconds. UMC Athletes and Coaches showed off their strength finishing in 12 seconds. Finally, CHS Underclassmen began with a struggle, but had some help from a couple UMC athletes which led them to finish in 26 seconds.    
        UMC Athletes and Coaches celebrated with claps and cheers for their win. The winning team members were: Athletes Mike Maw, Anthony Peterson, Sam Smith, Greg Lofquist, Josh Hughes, Josh Simmons, Tyler Bos, Jacob Pinder, Joshua Perea, Joe Machacek, Asst. Football Coach Sean Knox, and Asst. Athletic Director Jason Tangquist. Shannon Stassen awarded the trophy and announced that the winner would compete later in the month against New Flyer employees.
