The Golden Eagles were led on the tournament by Matt McClure , who placed in a tie for 13th after carding a 74 and two 75’s in his three rounds of golf.
The University of Minnesota Crookston men’s golf team finished the three-round Missouri Western State University Drury Inn Central Region Invite in 13th place after putting together a team score of 924. The Golden Eagles had the fourth best tournament placing of the eight NSIC teams who competed Monday and Tuesday at the St. Joseph Country Club in St. Joseph, Mo. The tournament included 20 teams from the Central Region including schools from the NSIC, the MIAA and the GAC.

Jesse Roscoe (Jr., Big Stone City, S.D./) shot a 78, a 75 and a 77 to place in a tie for 39th overall. Michael Roedl (So., Minneapolis, Minn.) turned in an overall score of 235 including a 76 in the first round. Seth Heppner (Jr., Crookston, Minn.) put up a score of 239. Freshman Evan Lunda (Centuria, Wis.) started the tournament off well with a 76 in the first round but fell off after shooting an 87 in the second round and then finished off with an 82 in the third round
University of Nebraska-Kearney won the team title after shooting a team score of 879. University of Central Missouri was eight strokes behind with an 887. St. Cloud State University had the best score of any NSIC team with a 903 as they placed eighth overall.
Matt Jennnings of Henderson State University won the overall tournament title with a four-under par 209. Cy Moritz of Central Missouri was three strokes behind at 212. Tyler Koivisto of St. Cloud State University had the best showing of any NSIC golfer by tying for fourth with a 220.
