Mike Hajostek - Football

Head Coach Scott Butt says, “Mikey Hajostek had 12 rushes for 73 yards on offense and two tackles for a loss on defense last week versus Pequot Lakes. Mikey played a very good all around game for the us Friday night. He ran the ball extremely hard, plus played very well on defense. Mikey is a really good athlete that leads by example, plus he is a very good student. He has found a way to balance the many different things going in his life. Mikey is a true team player and he makes coaching him a lot of fun.”

Sydney Boike - Volleyball

Head Coach Lon Boike says, “Sydney, a 5-foot-11 junior, has been playing both right side and has recently switched to middle hitter. She is among the team leaders in kills and blocks. On Monday night, Sydney recorded a game high 17 kills versus Climax-Fisher. Sydney also participates in basketball and track.”

Hannah Emanuel - Girls' Soccer

Head Coach Sarah Reese says, “Hannah Emanuel is this is week’s Pirate of the Week for Girls’ Soccer. Hannah has a good attitude, is always optimistic, and absorbs all aspects of learning as a player and puts them into the game. She is dedicated and has great skill, regardless of the fact that she is in seventh grade. I appreciate her ‘go-getter’ attitude.”

Tiffany Trudeau - Girls' Tennis

Head Coach Mike Geffre says, “Tiffany is a senior on the tennis team. She works hard in practice and matches. Tiffany stays upbeat regardless of the circumstances and has not been beaten in doubles this year. She is a member of our tournament team and contributes through dedication and having a positive attitude.”

Marietta Geist - Girls' Swimming

Head Coach Marley Melbye says, “This week’s Pirate of the Week for Girls’ Swimming is Marietta Geist, daughter of Sara and Dan Geist. Marietta is a co-captain for the team and has definitely earned and represents that title well. She is one that steps up to help her teammates when she can, to get up and cheer and to pat someone on the back. Marietta recently has developed into a freestyle distance swimmer; she has made the transition and has been a great competitor for the team. Marietta is also a big part of the team’s relays as she is the lead off swimmer for the 200 and 400 freestyle relays. Marietta is a valued swimmer on the team and we look forward to seeing her at the end of the season.”
