The Pirate boys' soccer team finished its regular season Saturday with a 3-3 tie against Hibbing/Chisholm in the pouring rain in Crookston.

Pirate junior Jonathan Miller scored in the 36th minute of the first half to tie the match at 1-1.

After Hibbing/Chisholm scored in the 61st minute, sophomore Guthrie Dingmann scored five minutes later to tie the match for Crookston at 2-2.

Hibbing/Chisholm took the lead with a goal in the first overtime, but sophomore Isaac Westlake knotted the match up again in the second overtime.

Pirate junior goalkeeper Michael Tate and Hibbing/Chisholm's Alex Hamre each had three saves in the match.

Crookston is now 3-12-1 on the season and is 3-9 against Section 8A opponents. The Pirates rank sixth of eight teams in the north subsection and will begin the playoffs Thursday against an opponent to be determined.
