Retiring police chief the guest of honor at reception.

After 25 years with the CPD, about half of that time as chief, Monday was Crookston Police Chief Tim Motherway’s last day on the job, before retiring to take a position as regional coordinator of the National Child Safety Council.

Motherway was the guest of honor at a reception Monday afternoon in the city hall council chambers.

Paul Biermaier, who was patrol sergeant at the CPD before being hired as chief, officially takes the CPD reins today, Tuesday.
