The Golden Eagle women's soccer team earned a 1-1 tie with Wayne State Saturday in Wayne, Neb. before losing 2-0 to Augustana Sunday in Sioux Falls, S.D.
Minnesota Crookston is now 2-5-1 on the season and 0-4-1 against Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference opponents. It returns to action on Saturday when it hosts the University of Sioux Falls at 11 a.m. and Sunday when Southwest Minnesota State University visits at 1 p.m.

UMC and Wayne State each scored one goal in the first half but held each other scoreless the rest of the way as the two squads settled for a 1-1 double overtime tie.
The Golden Eagles got on the board first at 19:17 when Taylor Peterson (Fr, M, Bismarck, N.D.) scored an unassisted goal off a deflection. The Wildcats countered at 23:11 when Kelly Voigt scored on a free kick. She was assisted by Macy Hagen.
That was to be it as both goalkeepers kept the respective opponents out of the net. WSC’s Kylie Comba recorded four saves. Lexie Gauger (Fr, GK, Green Bay, Wis.) recorded four saves for UMC.

Augustana scored a goal in each half and held the Golden Eagles scoreless as they won 2-0.
Augustana got on the board at 38:15 when Julie Reinsnes scored from six yards out after a corner kick. She was assisted by Stephanie Stevens. The Vikings added their second goal at 65:34 when Katie Hurd scored from 20 yards out off a corner kick. She was unassisted.
Ashley Limmer recorded the shutout for the Vikings with four saves. Gauger recorded ten saves for UMC.
