  • University of Minnesota Crookston women’s golfer Katie Sheetz (So., Grand Rapids, Minn.) took home her first individual collegiate tournament title after shooting an 83 in the one-round Bemidji State University Invitational Friday at the Bemidji Town and Country Club on the North Shore of Lake Bemidji in Bemidji, Minn. The Golden Eagles placed second out of the four team field that included two Bemidji State squads and Minnesota State University Moorhead.
    Sheetz’ previous high placing was a second-place finish at the BSU Invitational last season after shooting an 82.
    Bemidji State University’s first squad took home the team title for the day after shooting a 340 as a team. The Golden Eagles shot 378 overall to place second. Freshman Baillee Hauser (Fr., Raymond, Minn.) had her first top 10 finish of her career after shooting a 93. Jacy Christenson (Sr., Shoreview, Minn.) shot a 101, as did Rikki Roscoe (So., Big Stone City, S.D.) to tie for 16th. Kelly Gustofson (Sr., Hermantown, Minn.) shot 115 to finish 20th.
