  •     Technology is quickly taking over the world and we need to embrace it. Would you get rid of your schedule book, paper bills, alarm clock, and even your camera to trade up for one small device?
Cell phones, in particular, have come a long way over the past decade. Remember when the Blackberry PDA phone was the coolest thing you could have?
Now we have Apple and Android smart phones with applications (apps) to watch television, pay bills, shop online, edit pictures and even order a pizza in the palm of your hand. Each phone is customizable to their owner making it easier to do the things you want to do.
Tablets are another handy device currently taking over the computer world. They are a lightweight portable screen that have apps like a smart phone. Imagine bringing your fancy new tablet to show off your family vacation pictures instead of lugging the photo album that took you an hour to put together. What if you're on your way to the lake and need something to keep the kids or husband happy? Put on a movie and strap it to the back of the headrest for some peace and quiet.
Another newer technology that is widespread is Bluetooth. Most people know about Bluetooth and what it can do for phone calls. What some people might not know is that Bluetooth is hidden in other electronics like your newer home stereo or even your shower.
Wouldn't cleaning be more fun if you could listen to your own music while doing it? Simply "pair up" your mp3 player or cell phone with your home stereo and clean away. Or maybe you want to start practicing again for your upcoming singing career? There are shower heads or hanging shower devices that have Bluetooth inside letting you play your favorites without leaving the bathroom.
Smart watches are also a recent technology that uses Bluetooth. These watches connect with your smart phone and send notifications for calls, text messages, emails, and social media updates. For those of you that love keeping up with what is going on in the day, but want to be discreet during work hours the smart watch might be for you.
Think of all the fun things you can do with advancing technology these days. In the next five years, it could all be different again. So get out there and learn some things with a new device.
