    Again this year for a fund raiser the folk art calendars are being sold. Contact Janet Solheim.
    Two birthdays were celebrated, Pastor Bill Reck for August and Lou Nelson for September. Guest Mercy Peterson was introduced.
    Two new members came on board: Bev Johnson and Chrys O'Niell and Chrys favored the group with a solo about the liberation of Norway in 1945, "Norway in Red, White and Blue".
    Laura announced that 15 UMC students have signed on to the Study Abroad program and will travel to Norway next Spring, so they will be studying the Norsk language in preparation.
    Lori offered her expertise for genealogy class.
    Eight members took their turn for the Show and Tell part of the evening's program and then lunch was served by Duane Anderson after singing the Table Prayer in Norwegian.
    Next meeting is Oct. 21 with the election of officers on the agenda. November meeting will be on the 18th with lefse and flatbread making.
