Pay your utility bill, register for kids' activities, see schedules, and more.
Soon, Crookston residents will be able to pay their city water bill online, sign their kids up for Parks & Recreation activities and pay their fees for that, too, among other things.
It's called RevTrak, and it's an electronic vendor that specializes in "school and city payments and scheduling." Parks & Recreation Director Scott Riopelle and Finance Director Angel Hoeffner have met with RevTrak representatives numerous times in recent weeks and, most recently, watched a demonstration that showed where things currently stand as RevTrak nears a launch on the City of Crookston website, crookston.mn.us.
The agreement with RevTrak will be on the city council's Sept. 23 agenda, Hoeffner said at Monday's Park Board meeting. With so many Parks & Recreation youth activities and athletic programs offered each year, board members are especially interested in seeing what RevTrak is capable of doing when it comes to schedules, registration and payment to maximize customer convenience.
Hoeffner figures that all the schedules will be set up in October and all of the programs will be online in early November. "Then we'll have some time for trial and error," she said.
"City-wide, all of our activities will be on there," Parks & Recreation Supervisor Scott Butt said. "People will be be able to pay their water bill, too."
Riopelle said the cities of Thief River Falls and Fergus Falls use RevTrak. Once the Crookston system is up and running, people will be able to link to RevTrak's various functions from the City of Crookston homepage.
"You'll be able to pay for whatever you want, schedule whatever you want, and all youth programming and Parks & Rec stuff will be on there," Riopelle said. "It will also send out reminders to people when something is going to take place."
