  • As part of the strategic planning process, Lake Agassiz Regional Library has in recent weeks hosted six "Community Conversations" in each of the counties served by the LARL system. The seventh and final conversation in the series will be held Tuesday evening, Sept. 10 at the Crookston Library, beginning at 6 p.m.
The purpose of the conversations is to ask community members to think big and use their creativity to discuss library services.
The following topics will be discussed:
            • The Library Today and in 2016
            • Serving Individuals and Communities
            • Access to Content and Materials
            • The Library's Role in the Community
"We are hoping the community conversations will help us determine how to better serve our customers with our current resources and to explore efficient and effective models for future use," said LARL Director Liz Lynch.
This is the first phase of the strategic planning process.  During the upcoming months, community members and staff will have an opportunity to fill out print and online forms related to library services. The strategic planning process will wrap up in early 2014.
