Corn Stalk Jamboree is Oct. 12.

The flower baskets have come down, and soon the corn stalks will be going up. Local clubs, organizations, businesses and individuals are invited to participate in dressing up downtown Crookston for the fall season and Halloween.

Downtown Crookston has many light poles and trees that are available to be decorated in a fall or Halloween theme. Judging of the displays will take place during the Corn Stalk Jamboree Oct. 12.

The Chamber will have bundles of corn stalks available by Sept. 16 for use as the base for your display. Bundles of corn stalks are $15 each and the Chamber will put them in place for you and dispose of them in November.  Bundles are available for $10 at the Chamber office to be picked up.

The Chamber asks that all displays are done in a respectful manner and that all decorations are securely fastened. Visitors to Crookston often comment positively about the way the community embraces the fall season and decorates so beautifully, Chamber President/CEO Shannon Stassen said.

Order online at or call the Chamber office at 281-4320.
