Committee last week recommended council approval.
The Crookston City Council Monday evening will consider a resolution approving a $50,000 IRP loan to Brent and Jasmine Melsa, owners of the recently opened Drafts Sports Bar & Grill in Crookston.
The city Development Policy & Review Committee last week recommended council approval of the loan from the Intermediary Relending Program.
Jasmine Melsa told the Times that there were some "typical" cost overruns that come with constructing a new business. She also specifically cited additional and unexpected costs for soil fill at the construction site and asphalt and fill costs related to the approaches and frontage added to the west side of the business along Fisher Ave.
The council meets at 7 p.m. in the city hall council chambers.
