  • Thomas Martin O'Hara has been missing since Aug. 8, when he was seen walking north from St. Hilaire along state Highway 32 north toward Thief River Falls, the Pennington County Sheriff's Department said Tuesday.
O'Hara, 40, has taken off on foot from his home in St. Hilaire before, said Deputy Blaize Zimmerman. "But not for this length of time. That's why his family waited until Aug. 12 to report him missing."
After checking everyone and every place O'Hara might be, the sheriff's department put out a news release with a photo Tuesday, Zimmerman said.
Last October, Thief River Falls police put out a bulletin that O'Hara was missing; he was found the next day, according to an online copy of a police report.
O'Hara is 6 feet tall, 170 pounds, with blue eyes and brown hair and a beard, according to Zimmerman.
He was last seen wearing a black Carhartt sweatshirt and blue jeans.
St. Hilaire is about 44 miles east and north of East Grand Forks.
The sheriff's department asks anyone with information to call (218) 281-6161.
