It was only used once.

An $82,000 floor covering purchased from Protecting the Legacy funds that's designed to be placed over any sheet of ice in Crookston Sports Center so events can be held in a frozen rink is going to be sold.

The Park Board made the decision last week. The floor covering was used only once, at the Blue Line Club Parent Night last fall, and people complained about the chilly temperature in the Event Arena.

The covering wil be sold on consignment to Becker Arena Products, and it's possible that some of the money gleaned from the sale will be put toward a dehumidification system in the CSC.
