He was a Crookston native.
Bryce Roman Jasper was born to Mike and Alice Reiman Jasper in Crookston. Bryce attended school in Crookston until enlisting in the service May 23, 1947. He served as a member of the military police until is honorable discharge on May 8, 1950. He married Clarice Helen Busness on September 4, 1950 in Waterville, Iowa.
His occupations ranged from steel mill worker, beet plants, truck driving, and the Minnesota DOT - Erskine Branch, for more than 20 years.
Upon retirement, he moved to Lewiston, Montana and ended up in Columbia Falls, Montana. He passed away at the Northwest Health Care Center in Kalispell with his family by his side.
He is survived by his wife Clarice, Delilah Moran, Cheryl (Kenneth) Mitchell, Michael (Julie) Jasper, Barbara (Bruce - deceased), 10 grandchildren; David (Efima) and Justin (Samantha) Moran, Cody and Cory Mitchell, Chelsea (Jason) Tyler, Michell and Mathew Jasper, Joshua, Jacob and Jordan (Jasper) Arhard and his nine great-grandchildren; Kristina and Marianna Moran, Corbina and Fuller Moran, Kianna and Keiten Mitchell, Jaden Mitchell, Deegan and Ayla Tyler.
Bryce is preceded in death by his son, Bruce; grandson Darrin Moran; his parents, three brothers and two sisters.
Private family services with military honors were held on July 5, 2013 at 1 p.m., with cremation following. He will be laid to rest, at a later date, at the St. Joseph Cemetery in Brooks, Minnesota, next to his son and grandson. May he rest in peace.
