The city of Grand Forks and the University of North Dakota are partnering to address problems associated with alcohol use in Grand Forks.
The two entities are launching a campaign that promotes responsible, low-risk drinking in the community and on campus. The committee includes representatives from UND, the Grand Forks City Council, Public Health and the Public Schools. Also, representatives from the Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition, Grand Forks police and Grand Forks Air Base will be on the committee.
UND President Robert Kelly and Grand Forks Mayor Michael Brown will speak at a news conference about the committee and campaign on Wednesday.
