  •     RiverView employees had some fun competing in a salad cook-off in June and donated the proceeds raised from the event to the Crookston-area Special Olympics and the Crookston Park and Rec’s Kids First program.
Employees purchased samples of each salad and then voted for their favorite. The event brought in $600, which was split between the two local programs.
The winner of the salad cook-off was the Maintenance Department with Keith Swenson’s Gourmet Popcorn Salad. There was a tie for second place with Health Information Management employee Denise Cole’s ONO Fruit Salad and Health Information Management Director Dawn Jackson’s Potetsalat being evenly judged. Third place went to EVS with their Surprise in Every Bite salad. Patient Financial Service’s Hawaiian Delight theme won the Best Decorated category.
