The Minnesota Crookston helds its annual Mark Olsonawski Scholarship Golf Tournament at Two Rivers Golf Course in Hallock, Minn. on June 27. All proceeds benefit an endowed football scholarship in honor of former Golden Eagle football player Mark Olsonawski, who was a running back and team captain for the Golden Eagles and is a native of Hallock, Minn. A total of 75 golfers participated in the 18 hole event.
Winners for the Mark Olsonawski Scholarship Golf Tournament were Jeff Bergh, Nick Lindegard, Anders Lindegard and Levi Pearson in flight one. Tom Noah, Elliott Erdmann, Ryan Kill and Bruce Wangen won flight two.
“We would like to thank all the golfers, sponsors and Two Rivers Golf Course for continuing to support the Mark Olsonawski Golf Tournament,” Director of Athletic Fundraising Bill Tyrrell said. “We are very thankful for the generosity of everyone who came out for the event and are very excited to give scholarships this year to UMC football players Matt Borowicz (Jr., OL, Stephen, Minn.) and Brody Davidson (Jr., LB, Crookston, Minn.).
