Win-E-Mac wins game one 10-4 and Crookston takes game two 7-1.

Aaron Hollcraft tossed a no-hitter and struck out 18 batters Wednesday at Jim Karn Field as the Crookston Legion baseball team split a doubleheader with Win-E-Mac, losing game one 10-4 but winning game two 7-1.

Hollcraft walked two batters and allowed an unearned run in game two. Chris Wavra had a pair of hits at the plate for Crookston with two RBIs, while Joey Koenig had a hit and two RBIs. Brandon Kresl and Seth Desrosier each had a hit in the game.

Crookston scored two runs in each of the third and fourth innings and added three more in the sixth inning.

In game one, Crookston held a 3-2 lead after the first inning but Win-E-Mac jumped out to a 5-4 lead after three innings and exploded for five runs in the fourth in the five inning game.

Hollcraft had a triple and another base hit with an RBI. Brandon Kresl, Cody Magsam and Luke Froeber each had two hits in the game. Froeber had two RBIs, while Kresl had one and scored two runs.

Wavra started on the mound and pitched 3 2-3 innings, striking out six. Cody Wardner pitched 1 1-3 scoreless innings in relief.

Crookston is now 3-8 on the season and will host Bagley on Monday before travelling to Roseau on Tuesday and hosting Warroad on Wednesday and Stephen on Friday.
