The Crookston defense committed four errors.

Aaron Hollcraft struck out 16, allowing just one earned run on five hits and four walks but four Crookston errors proved costly as Red Lake Falls made out of Crookston Tuesday with a 6-3 win at Jim Karn Field.

Red Lake Falls jumped out to a 5-0 lead after two innings.

Crookston got on the board in the fourth when Joey Koenig, who reached on a walk, scored on an error. Crookston added two in the sixth to cut the deficit to 5-3.

Red Lake Falls added one in the seventh to seal the win.

Ryan Amiot pitched five innings for Red Lake Falls, while Wyatt Casavan recorded two outs before Lars Brevik closed out the last 1 1/3 innings for the save.

Hollcraft had two hits, while Mikey Hajostek, Brandon Kresl, Joey Koenig and Cody Wardner each had hits.

Crookston will face Twin Valley today on the road and host Fosston Thursday.
