A memorial service will take place at 2 p.m., Saturday, June 29, 2013 at the Little Norway Church in rural Fertile.

    Constance ‘Connie’ Copeland was born September 14, 1949 in Crookston, Minnesota, daughter of the late Otis A. Rindahl and Leora (Stai) Trontvedt. She grew up on the farm near Fertile, Minnesota, where she attended Little Norway Lutheran Church and Sunday school. She was a 1967 graduate of Crookston High School and attended Bemidji State College where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology in 1972. Connie was employed in social work for the Red Cross in Manhatten, Kansas for two years and later at Lackland AFB in San Antonio, Texas, for one year. In 1976 she moved to Houston, Texas, where she was employed for the First Court of Appeals for six years and then Bearne Parson, Maynard Law Firm for ten years before retiring to Whitney, Texas in 2011.  She enjoyed antiquing, crafting and photo collecting. She was an all-around fun gal. Connie died at her home in Whitney, following a year-long bout with cancer on December 15, 2012.

    Surviving Connie are one daughter, Erin Copeland, Whitney, TX; four grandchildren: Blake, Skyler, Samantha and Madison Floyd; one sister, Sandra (Warren) Juengel, Sanford, MI; one brother, Michael (Robin) Rindahl, Mebane, NC; two half-brothers: Daniel Trontvedt, Grand Forks, ND (who died six weeks after Connie), Ray (Amy) Rindahl, Chanhassen, MN; one half-sister, Lorri (Merl) Daniels, Blaine, MN; three step-brothers, Rod (Danette) Rindahl, Charles City, IA; Robert Rindahl, Andover, MN; and Randy Rindahl and fiancee´, Shirley Bailee, Poplar, WI; step-mother Doris Rindahl and friend, DeWayne Krogstad, Brooklyn Center, MN; step-father, Ervin Trontvedt, Fertile, MN; three aunts and two uncles: Shirley (Hiram) Jennings, Discovery Bay, CA; Esther (Eldon, who recently died) Rudie, Grand Forks, ND and Doris DenHartigh, Racine, WI; several nieces , nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

    She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Kathleen Rindahl.

    A memorial service will take place at 2 p.m., Saturday, June 29, 2013 at Little Norway Church rural Fertile, Minnesota, Reverend Phil Larsen, officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Little Norway cemetery.

    The family will receive friends at the church from noon Saturday until the time of the service at 2 p.m.
