  • The Ada Athletics thrashed the Crookston Reds Tuesday in Ada 17-5 in seven innings.
    The A's exploded out of the gates with 13 runs in the first two innings.
    Skip Toops led the Reds at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBIs and one run scored. Dillon Nelson hit 1-for-3 with one run scored, while Kody Kawlewski went 1-for-3 with a sacrifice fly RBI.
    Henry Stanaslowski started for Crookston, pitching two innings and allowing 13 earned runs on 14 hits and nine walks. Toops pitched four innings, allowing three earned runs, four total, on seven hits and two walks.
    The winless 0-5 Reds will host the Fertile Bees Friday at 7 p.m. before competing in the Wolf Lake Tournament Saturday and Sunday.
