Wayne was born in rural Crookston on March 1, 1933, and was the son of Arnold and Dora (Reitmeier) Radi. He attended Crookston schools and graduated from Central High School in 1952. Soon after, he moved to Saginaw, MI, and was employed at a General Motors assembly plant.

During those years he was also a 25-year member of the Crookston Volunteer Fire Department.
In retirement Wayne and Joan traveled to Arizona and Texas, where they spent many winters enjoying the “snow bird life.” He was a devoted member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Crookston for many years. Wayne was a very kind and humble man. He loved Joan and their family dearly and he enjoyed many wonderful friendships throughout his life. His love, sense of humor, and companionship will be remembered forever.

He is also survived by 2 sisters, Marlyne (Howard) Dalzell of Albertville, MN and Sherry (Ken) Coauette of East Grand Forks, MN; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Dora; and grandparents, William and Anna (Wentzel) Reitmeier, and Charles and Minnie (Waterstrat) Radi. May God richly bless Wayne’s memory.
