  •  A missing 24-year-old Eden Prairie woman's blood was found on a jacket in her ex-boyfriend's sport utility vehicle, police said Tuesday after a DNA analysis of the blood.
Police also said tests confirmed an unfired bullet discovered Saturday came from the same handgun that Mandy Matula's ex-boyfriend, David Roe, used to shoot himself after police called him in for questioning about her disappearance.
The new details were released as the search for Matula continued. Matula was last seen with Roe last Wednesday and had told friends she was ending their relationship. Matula's family reported her missing when she did not show up for work the following morning.
Police have searched areas of Eden Prairie, Carver County and Stearns County based on Roe's cellphone and financial records, the Star Tribune (http://bit.ly/YsJJnl ) reported. He stopped at a Maple Grove gas station around 4 a.m. last Thursday, about two hours after he and Matula were spotted at Miller Park in Eden Prairie.
Roe agreed to talk to a detective, but shot himself after pulling into the Eden Prairie police parking lot Thursday and died the next day.
Tests confirmed that an unfired bullet found by searchers near Miller Park was in the chamber of Roe's gun at some point.
On Tuesday, police looking for Matula were searching Eden Prairie lakes again.
