Crookston lost just 14 games on the entire day as it dominated Section 8A rival Park Rapids.
The Pirate boys' tennis team rebounded after a 6-1 loss to Thief River Falls on Monday and defeated Park Rapids 7-0 Tuesday in Crookston. Every match was won in straight sets.
"The kids played pretty well," Pirate head coach Mike Geffre said. "We actually graduated more than they did so it was nice to come away with that win. Top to bottom, I didn't think anybody played poor."
Crookston lost just 14 games on the entire day as it dominated Section 8A rival Park Rapids. The Pirates are now 2-1 against section opponents and 3-3 on the season.
"We have been outside for the last four to five days," Geffre said. "The courts have been ready for over a week. You have lines to know if a ball is in or out. We don't have that indoors. We are four weeks away from the section tournament so our timeline is really accelerated."
After a day off today, the Pirates will host Moorhead Thursday at 4:30 p.m.
