Zach Frazier has lettered in both hockey and baseball for Grand Rapids.

The Minnesota, Crookston Golden Eagle Baseball program today announced the signing of Zach Frazier (Grand Rapids, Minn.) to a National Letter of Intent for the 2013-2014 season.

A 6-3, 195 lb. catcher from Grand Rapids High School, Frazier also plays in the outfield and at first base. He has lettered in both hockey and baseball for the Thunderhawks. Zach also serves as baseball team captain.

“We are excited to have Zach Frazier attend the University of Minnesota Crookston and play for our baseball program,” says Golden Eagle Head Coach Chris Vito. “He comes from a program that has had a rich tradition in both high school and American Legion baseball and has appeared in numerous state tournaments. He also played hockey for one of the state’s best programs. Zach will provide needed depth in a number of areas especially behind the plate where he has excelled. It is going to be fun to watch him contribute and grow over the next four years.”

Frazier intends to major in natural resources and agriculture at the University of Minnesota, Crookston. He is the son of Greg and Jodi Frazier.

Frazier joins Brandon Kresl of Crookston, Minn. and Travis Magdzas of Duluth, Minn. as signees for the University of Minnesota Crookston.
