Deadline for June program is May 6.
Safety Town is a comprehensive safety education program for children who are age eligible to enter kindergarten in 2013. This summer's program will take place June 3-7 from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. each day at Washington School.
The program introduces children to many safety topics (i.e. home safety, farm safety, stranger danger, pedestrian safety, bus safety, etc.) There are guest speakers, including police officers, who run the "town.”
Many community sponsors make the program possible. The fee is $20 and the registration deadline is May 6.
