The Golden Eagles were led by Katie Sheetz (Fr., Grand Rapids, Minn.), who put together two of the best rounds in school history with a 78 on Sunday and an 80 on Monday to finish tied for 13th at the Upper Iowa Spring Invite. As a team, the Golden Eagles shot a combined score of 762.
The Minnesota Crookston women’s golf team finished 11th out of 11 teams at The Preserve on Rathbun Lake Golf Course in Moravia, Iowa.
Augustana picked up the team victory in the tournament after shooting a 589 on the two days. Augustana’s Emily Kvidera got the individual title after shooting a one-under par score of 143 which was three strokes ahead of Concordia, St. Paul’s Rachel Gray.
Mary Mikutowski (So., Stillwater, Minn.) shot a two-round score of 183 while Kari Bodine (Jr., Babbitt, Minn.) turned in a 205. Rikki Roscoe (So., Big Stone City, S.D.) shot a 216 for the tournament to round out UMC’s competitiors.
The Golden Eagles are scheduled to participate in the Augustana Invite in Sioux Falls, S.D. April 13-14 before participating in the NSIC Spring Championships in Morton, Minn. April 20-21.
