Minnesota State got the team victory at the invite with a team score of 577.
The Minnesota Crookston finished eighth out of nine teams at the Upper Iowa Spring Invite at The Preserve on Rathbun Lake Golf Course in Moravia, Iowa. The Golden Eagles were led by Jesse Roscoe (So., Big Stone City, S.D.), who shot a three-over par 147 over two days to finish tied for 16th overall.
Minnesota State got the team victory at the invite with a team score of 577, which was four strokes better than Concordia, St. Paul in second place and three strokes better than Winona State in third place. Casey Gleich of Minot State shot a seven-under par 137 to get the individual win, which was one stroke better than his teammate Kowan O’Keefe’s two-round score.
To round out UMC’s scores for the tournament, Matt McClure (So., Grand Rapids, Minn.) turned in a six-over par 150, as did Blake Held (So., Cold Spring, Minn.). Both players finished in a tie for 29th place. Seth Heppner (So., Crookston, Minn.) turned in an eight-over-par 152 while Michael Roedl (R-Fr., Minneapolis, Minn.) tallied a 162.
