  • A former educator and coach in northeastern North Dakota has pleaded not guilty to trying to lure girls over the Internet.
    Twenty-eight-year-old Jeremy Thompson initially was accused of trying to lure a 12-year-old girl from his former school in Edmore while working as a paraprofessional and coach in Grand Forks schools. Prosecutors later filed additional counts, alleging eight more victims.
    The Grand Forks Herald reports (http://bit.ly/YIxxiF ) that Thompson faces eight felony counts of luring a minor by computer and three misdemeanor counts of deprivation of a minor. He was fired from his Grand Forks job in January.
