Library Director Owen Williams tells them about writing, research resources.

Juniors in Kelly Munter's English classes at Fisher High School spent a day recently at
the University of Minnesota Crookston, learning about resources available for writing research papers and conducting scholarly research.

Owen Williams, director of UMC's Library, presented information such as examples of assignments students receive in college, the process of writing a research paper, finding and citing information; using academic journal, and using critical thinking skills when evaluating the reliability of information found online.

Williams leads presentations like this periodically for various high schools in the region.
