  • Another performance evaluation of City of Crookston Administrator Tony Chladek, on the job for a little more than a year, is the subject of a special Crookston City Council meeting that has been scheduled for Monday evening, April 8. The meeting is to follow the council's regular meeting at 7 p.m. and then a council Ways & Means Committee meeting.
Chladek, in an email sent out late Friday afternoon, indicated that after being made aware of Monday's special meeting, he has opted, in a document he signed and filed in the city clerk's office, for the meeting to be open to public. Typically, when personnel performance matters are on a meeting agenda, the council, by statute, has the option to close the meeting to the public, and typically exercises that statutory option.
It's presumed the special meeting will take place in the city hall conference room, where the Ways & Means Committee will meet prior.
